Agreement between Tarkett AG, Frankenthal (Germany) and Group De Saedeleir, Dendermonde (Belgium)

Within the framework of its concentration on the worldwide marketing of its core products Tarkett AG will part with its needlepunch production site at Baisieux (France). The factory is sold to the Belgian family owned Group De Saedeleir.

The factory that produces needlepunch in Baisieux will focus on the event and retail market, under the name Sommer Needlepunch SAS.

The agreement offers Group De Saedeleir the opportunity to become one of the main players in the European needlepunch market in the event, residential and industrial sectors.

Tarkett AG will maintain a minority shareholding in Sommer Needlepunch SAS and will continue to market these products internationally on the residential market thus underlining Tarkett's position as a multi-specialist in the flooring business.

The agreement between Tarkett AG and Group De Saedeleir emphasises the intention of both companies to further develop the Baisieux location, with both groups focussing on their strategic markets.
